Remembering Vance

Our family has been deeply saddened by the unexpected death of Jason's youngest brother, Vance.  Our hearts ache in a way they never have before as we try to understand this tragedy.  As Jason mentioned in his talk at the funeral, Vance had more than his fair share of trials in his life.  We take comfort in the infinite atonement of Jesus Christ.  In a recent general conference address from our church we learned, "because of him, even our Savior, Jesus Christ, those feelings of sorrow, loneliness and despair will one day be swallowed up in a fullness of joy.  All that is unfair about life can be made right through the atonement of Jesus Christ."  We are grateful for all the kind expressions of sympathy from friends and family.  Vance will be greatly missed but we will treasure the memories we have of him forever.
